Many insurers protect deadly industries driving climate chaos, the genocide in Gaza and border violence. Without insurance, destructive companies would be unable to operate.
These same insurers underwrite our communities. We can pressure these institutions to boycott bloody insurance.
How we win
We are targeting insurance companies that invest in and underwrite the Israeli genocidal project in Palestine, fossil fuels, weapons, and the border detention industry.
Through public pressure and grassroots organisation, we aim to disrupt the financial lifelines that sustain these destructive industries and pressure insurers to cut their ties. Without insurance, complicit companies – like Elbit, BP, Maersk, and Serco – would be unable to operate.
This makes insurance a key pressure point for campaigners fighting for justice, as well as a shared target between our movements.
We will exert pressure on complicit insurers by using organisational boycotts to hit them where it hurts: their pockets. Together we can identify which of our day-to-day institutions across Britain – like charities, trade unions, councils, and cultural institutions – are using bloody insurers, and pressure them to switch to more ethical options.
